Lee Valley Regional Park

The Lee Valley Regional Park was established by Act of Parliament in 1966, opening in 1967.

The Park binds together disparate open spaces across the Lea Bridge area including North and South Millfields, Leyton Marsh, Porters Field and Hackney Marshes.

The story of the development of the Park is set out in a comprehensive article by Laurie Elks.
