The site is founded on the belief that history and heritage should be given a higher priority in decisions that affect the area in order to avoid unncessarily harmful or ill-informed change. It is not about promoting heritage as all important, nor is it against positive change.
This is and will remain a 'not for profit' site, developed and funded by the editors. We have received permission to reproduce many images only on condition that we do not carry commercial advertising or sponsorship of any kind.
The site sets out the evidence base for Lea Bridge to be considered as a unique heritage asset and for it to be given a much higher priority in decisions that affect this heritage.
